Recorded in Norsey Wood, Essex, UK from just after 04:30. There is a breeze moving the tops of the trees but it didn't reach ground level. Temperature was about 8C.
There is some aircraft and train noise but this has been left in to preserve the progression of the chorus from before dawn. The recording starts fairly quiet (apart from breeze in the trees and some ambient noise) and reaches a maximum about 25 minutes into the recording. The birdsong starts to tail off as the recording progresses and the ambient sounds become more obvious.
A muntjac can be heard barking at 21:24 and there are some interesting sounds from a great tit (from around 35 minutes in).
Recorded with a Zoom F6 and sE Electronics SE8 Pencil Condenser Mics in ORTF arrangement.
