River marina ambiance with wind. A story in sound.
Blue-green algae grow in the warm and stagnant water of the Drimmelen marina on the Amer River. With a diagonal of 1.6 km, the marina of the municipality of Drimmelen can be called a large one.
In the distance, 2 km away, you can see the Geertruidenberg coal-fired power station in the photo. I wonder how long we will continue to burn coal now that there is increasing resistance to fossil energy. Am I going to see in my old age that we have completely switched to environmentally friendly sources?
In the background you can hear the music very softly on the terrace of the cafe where people enjoy the view and the cooling breeze on a hot summer day. Children play in the small playground.
I am also outside to enjoy and to give you this (audio) report.
I don't understand why, but the marina is packed with boats, while you would suspect they are all on the open water. The rigging regularly hits the masts of the countless sailing boats. Would people have had enough of sailing in August?
I found a nice spot in the lee and shade.
#2:19 Somewhere in the harbor you hear the calls of European Herring Gulls and Black-headed Gulls.
#2:52 Walkers with a rattling stroller walk past while talking. They don't say anything to me but look in amazement at the microphones in the blimp that are often mistaken for a camera. More people pass by during the audio recording.
#5:54 A cell phone rings for a long time and is never answered. Someone might have left it in a boat.
#7:06 On the right side of the parking lot, someone is trying to break something loose.
#7:13 The crackling sound is from an old 50cc moped that a man is driving around slowly.
#12:00 a truck has finished unloading and is now slowly reversing.
#13:07 A bicycle passes by. The man puts it on the stand and also starts looking around.
The wind is blowing harder and harder. As long as there isn't a thunderstorm later, because I'm still a long way from being home.
#16:22 A man tells a woman convincingly. What remains unclear. At least he understands it.
#20:20 #26:40 A fish jumps out of the water. Such harbors often contain large pike and bass that prey on small fish.
#20:52 A woman who just came from the terrace laughs.
#21:42 Two light scooters appear and put him on the stand.
#22:35 A motorist honks because the barrier does not open.
#23:01 A man walks up with his things on a rattling cart full of things. He also seems to have the sailing season over. #25:11 The Coot calls him hello.
#27:20 Dark clouds gather in the distance. The wind is blowing very hard now. I'm going to start packing and I'm not the only one who's going to move carefully. Cycle Klankbeeld, Cycle!!!!!
ps Later when I was home nothing had happened. No rain. No thunder. Just a storm in a teacup.
Until next time.
